Sharks are something of a phenomonon and this is why they get an entire series dedicated to them on The Discovery Channel called 'Shark Week!'
I've seen sharks once in person and it was at the 'Shark Reef Aquarium' in Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay. I stood there staring at all the fish completely blown away by the monster size of this aquarium and all that it contained.
We will now have our own mammoth size fish tank in Canada and it's under construction right now next to Rogers Centre in Toronto.
It's called Ripley's Aquarium of Canada and it will quickly become one of the best tourist attractions in the country. The concrete was just poured last weekend and soon the 2.8 million litre shark tank will take shape.
At a cost of $130 million the aquarium will be open to the public by next summer. 13,500 marine and freshwater fish will make it their home and begin arriving one year from now.
There are only 2 other Ripley's Aquarium's in the world and the video below shows one in Myrtle Beach. . .
