      BARRIE MOURNS

Over 18 hundred people gather at St. Mary's Church in Barrie this  morning, all to celebrate the life of 15 year old Brandon Crisp. People had to wind through a maze of national media satellite trucks clogging nearby streets just to get to the funeral service, packing both the main church and the hall.  The media attention was a testament to just how far Brandon's tragic story carried beyond Barrie's borders.  Father Frank McDevitt gave an impassioned sermon, saying Brandon's disappearance galvanized not just Barrie but so many other communities.  He spoke of what a joy he was to his family and how poor they would be in body and soul had he not shared those 15 years with them.   He also said to be wary of those who ask how Brandon died, but seek out those that ask how he lived.
