Cynthia Nixon is backtracking on her controversial "being gay is a choice"comment she made during a recent interview. The Sex and The City created a backlash from the gay community after making the comment last week, but she has since issued a new statement. Nixon says, "My recent comments in The New York Times were about me and my personal story of being gay.I believe we all have different ways we came to the gay community and we can't and shouldn't be pigeon-holed into one cultural narrative which can be uninclusive and disempowering. However, to the extent that anyone wishes to interpret my words in a strictly legal context I would like to clarify:"While I don't often use the word, the technically precise term for my orientation is bisexual. I believe bisexuality is not a choice, it is a fact. What I have 'chosen' is to be in a gay relationship." Nixon and her fiance, Christine Marinoni are parents to a 11-month-old baby boy named Max. The actress also has two children from a previous relationship with a man.
The nasty custody dispute between Canadian model Gabriel Aubry and actress Halle Berry has the L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services recommending that their 3-year-old daughter Nahla go into counseling. The former couple was in court yesterday. According to TMZ, the nanny claims Gabriel screams at the child and has even violently yanked Nahla out of her arms. However, a judge rejected the nanny’s request for a restraining order, due to lack of evidence. Sources say Halle wants the judge to prohibit Gabriel from having any contact with Nahla until a criminal child endangerment investigation targeting him is finished, while Gabriel is also reportedly asking for a restraining order against the nanny because he believes she is making up stories for Halle.TMZ also previously reported that Gabriel has agreed to enroll in anger management classes to control his temper. Wow!
In case you watched for it last night, NBC did decide to pull the controversial Fear Factor episode, where contestants were forced to drink donkey semen. The episode called “Hee Haw Hee Haw” vanished from TV listings and even host Joe Rogan admitted it was over the top. He told Entertainment Weekly weeks ago, "They’re not even sure if they’re going to air it. It’s so over the top and ridiculous. When they told me, I really thought they were joking at first. I don’t know where the debate is, but NBC is not sure if they’re going to air it.” Instead, fans got to watch a re-run of the Snake Bite episode.
Someone is paying $40,000 to drive away with Justin Bieber's autograph. An eBay auction for a 2012 Hyundai Genesis Bieber signed over the holidays, while he was home in Stratford, ended yesterday afternoon. The money raised by the auction is to be used to fix up the skateboard park in the popstar’s hometown.
Meanwhile, Pamela Anderson’s 2007 Range Rover sold over the weekend for $36,000 US. The former "Baywatch" actress auctioned off her vehicle on eBay to raise money for Sean Penn's J/P Haitian Relief Organization, which is helping rebuild the nation after it suffered a devastating earthquake in 2012.
The Muppets are fighting back at Fox News for comments made by Eric Bolling on "Follow the Money" last December. Basically, panelists were accusing The Muppets for being an example of how "liberal media" tries to "brainwash our kids" against big business -- specifically big oil companies, due to the villain in the film. At a recent press conference in the United Kingdom to promote the film, Kermit and Miss Piggy fought back. Kermit said, "If we had problems with oil companies, why would we have spent the entire film driving around in a gas-guzzling Rolls Royce?"and then Miss Piggy chimed in by saying, "(The brainwashing charges are) almost as laughable as accusing Fox News of being ... news." Good one!
Big changes are coming to ``The X Factor.'' Host Steve Jones as well as judges Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul won't be back next season. Fox isn't saying why, but Executive producer Simon Cowell had predicted the X Factor would be bigger than his old show, ``American Idol.'' The first season ratings never even got close.

The 31 year old reality star, whose marriage to Kris Humphries lasted a whole 72 days, recently wrote on her Twitter page, "On my way to church with the girls! I want to start a bible study group with my friends!" Meanwhile, there are reports Kim wants to bag a date with NFL star Tim Tebow, who is a devout Christian. An insider told National Enquirer magazine: "Kim has a big crush on Tim. She says he's not only very handsome but seems like a guy with really strong values." Thank God he can run REALLY fast.
