A sad loss in the entertainment world.  Don Cornelius, the creator and original host of the TV dance show "Soul Train” from the 70’s is dead at the age of 75. Police in Sherman Oaks, California say he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound yesterday morning.Us Weekly reports that when Cornelius was in court in 2009 for divorce proceedings, he complained of "significant health issues."

Leslie Carter, the sister of singers Nick and Aaron, has passed away suddenly at the age of 25. The Carter family said in a statement, "Our family is grieving right now and it's a private matter. We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter. We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time."Leslie died Tuesday in upstate New York. However, no further details have been given regarding the cause of death. Leslie was an aspiring singer, whose song "Like Wow!" was featured on the 2001 "Shrek" soundtrack. She also appeared on the 2006 E! reality show "House of Carters." Leslie leaves behind a baby girl  with her husband Mike, who was born in April of last year.

You may remember him as the youngest son on the TV show Home Improvement, but former child actor Taran Noah Smith (aka Mark Taylor) has been arrested for DUI, among other alleged felonies. The Burbank Police Department tells E! News, the 27-year-old was arrested yesterday in a Los Angeles suburb after cops stopped his car and smelled marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. He is currently being held on a $10,000 bail, with a court date set for March 1.Since his time on the show from 1991 to 1999, smith has since worked as an installation artist and as a founder of a vegan food company.

Snooki and Jwoww's new spin-off won’t be filming in New Jersey.  The Mayor of Hoboken, where they wanted to film, says the town’s Film Commission unanimously voted to deny the permit to 495 Productions "based on protecting public safety and quality of life concerns for Hoboken residents." Well done!

Nicole Scherzinger gets fired from The X-Factor and now she’s been replaced in the Pussycat Dolls too! The girl group creator Robin Antin, introduced an all-new lineup, including: Chrystina Sayers from Girlicious, Lauren Bennett from Paradiso Girls, Paula Van Oppen from So You Think You Can Dance, Vanessa Curry (a former Laker Girl) and Erica Jenkins( a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader).The original members, including Scherzinger, left the group in 2008.The new Pussycat Dolls will make their world debut in a Super Bowl commercial this Sunday. 

Scarlett Johansson  has a new older man. The 27 year old actress was recently photographed in NYC holding on tightly to 38 year old ad executive Nate Naylor. A source confirms to Us Weekly that the couple has been together for five months and met through mutual friends. Johansson split with 50 year old Sean Penn last June after five months together and she and husband Ryan Reynolds finalized their divorce last year, after two years together.

Many people are talking about the Demi Moore collapse and reports say she is truly embarrassed by the whole situation, since the actress is a very private person (other than her half-naked Twitter photos). An insider tells Us Weekly that Moore has been partying since her split from Ashton Kutcher in November. The source says, "She's been really down, and she's surrounding herself with young people to make her feel better”.  They say Moore also likes to flirt and party with her daughter Rumer’s friend, 24 year old Zac Efron.

Katy Perry has been added to the list of performers at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards. It will be the 27 year-old singer's very first U.S. performance since she split from husband Russell Brand  just before the New Year. Perry's song "Firework" is a nominee for Record of the Year ("Firework") and Best Pop Solo Performance. The Grammy’s are getting handed out on February 12th. 

The coroner investigating Amy Winehouse's death has resigned over questions about her qualifications. Suzanne Greenaway had ruled in October that Winehouse died of accidental alcohol poisoning, however the Winehouse's inquest could be declared invalid as a result of Greenway’s resignation. Winehouse's family is consulting with a lawyer.

The winner of the 2012 Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T signed by Justin Bieber that was auctioned off on eBay has come forward.  Allan Komenda of London paid US$40,000 for the signed vehicle, but thinks he should have paid more. The car was auctioned to raise money to refurbish the skate park in Bieber's hometown of Stratford. Komenda says he's willing to raise his bid to $80,000.
