Ring a Ding Ding
Justin Timberlake was caught RING SHOPPING, but not in the "traditional" way!! A HotOrNotGossip.com inside source tells us exclusively that Justin has been online catalogue ring shopping from home...
Our source says, "Justin has been calling a bunch of different stores to see what they have in stock - He's looking for the perfect engagement ring for her [Jessica Biel]. Over the last few days he has been spending plenty of time at night searching online for that perfect ring!!"
Nellie Dishes on the Prairie According to Alison Arngrim, aka Nellie, she only played the nasty girl, while Melissa Sue Anderson -- Mary -- was the real thing. In next week's issue of Steppin' Out, Alison goes off, calling Melissa "seriously high maintenance" and saying she was the most difficult person on the show. And she didn't stop at there. She called her mom the "worst stage mother," and compared her to Dina Lohan. Meow!
No…I Don’t Believe it
Former Bachelor Matt Grant and the recipient of his most important rose, actress Shayne Lamas, have broken off their engagement after publicly pretending that they were meant to be for two whole months, People reports.
"We tried hard to make it work but we realized that we were both heading in different directions," the duo said in a statement. "We truly care about each other and will remain close friends."
Just so long as they don't have to spend any time with each other, apparently.
Not Going to Happen
Sheryl Crow and Fleetwood Mac have stopped thinking about a shared tomorrow.
Just as frontman Lindsey Buckingham was confirming that his band's 2009 tour would proceed without the "All I Wanna Do" songstress, Crow came full circle on the rumor that she started in March, when she told a music website that she and the '70s-era hitmakers "definitely" had plans to collaborate.
"No, that was those Rumours—to quote the album," the singer-songwriter told a group of Nashville college students Wednesday at a Grammys Foundation Q&A session when asked about her future Fleetwood plans.
Big Bucks-Good Cause
Billionaires Bill Gates and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced on Wednesday that they would pool their resources and dedicate $500 million to stop people around the world from smoking.
That's the way to do it! Put your money where your mouth is!
The World Health Organization estimates that tobacco will kill up to a billion people in the 21st century, 10 times as many as it killed in the 20th.
This time, most are expected to be in poor countries like Bangladesh and middle-income countries like Russia.
In an effort to cut that number, the mayor's foundation plans to commit $250 million over four years on top of a $125 million gift he announced two years ago.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is allocating $125 million over five years.
