This could be the warmest year on record in Canada. Environment Canada says the temperature from January to July was 3.5 degrees warmer than normal and is expected to continue to be warmer through September in eastern Canada. In Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, La Nina is expected to keep things on the cool side. The last record-breaker we had was in 1998, when th temperature was 2.5 degrees highe than normal.
