It won’t be ready for classes when school starts in a couple of weeks, but it will be come October 12, three months ahead of schedule. Barrie’s newest school, in the south end, will be known as Ardagh Bluffs Public School. It's adjacent to the park of the same name. Simcoe County District School Board trustees also considered Summerset Public School and West Valley Public School. The school will be home to as many as 460 students. It also has a two-room childcare centre.
