The watermain is fixed, work crews in Barrie are now shoring up the sinkhole that resulted from the break early this morning on Morrow Road. The work has meant a temporary closure of Morrow, between Fraser Court and Ardagh Road. It’s also meant the water in the area is unsuitable for consumption. Flushing of the system and testing continues. Businesses in the area will be advised when the water is safe to drink. This has caused some concern at the SPCA on nearby Patterson Road. Staff there are hoping to get some help from the community in making sure the animals in their care get the water they need.
