A gastro-intestinal outbreak has been declared at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital. Visitors are being restricted on its Medical floor until further notice. Only one healthy adult will be allowed into the hospital per patient, but no children and everyone must use hand sanitizer when entering and exiting the facility. Visitors that are sick or have had symptoms such as nausea, vomiting or diarrhea in the past 48 hours are also being asked to not visit the hospital, until the outbreak is over. Officials hope that will happen quickly. Visitation throughout the rest of the hospital remains unaffected.
