It’s considered one of the deadliest accidents in Ontario’s history. 11 people are dead and three others have been injured, one critically, after a two-vehicle crash near Stratford. Police say a flatbed truck broadsided a large passenger van yesterday afternoon, sending it smashing into the side of a house in Hampstead. Ten people in the van, which was full of migrant workers, were pronounced dead at the scene, as well as the driver of the truck. Premier Dalton McGuinty has issued a statement on the tragedy. He says on behalf of 13-million Ontarians, he offers the province's deepest condolences to those who lost a loved one. It is the deadliest multi-vehicle crash in Ontario since 1999. That’s when fog near Windsor caused an 87-car pileup that killed eight people.
