Low ratings on NBC? No problem. The world is Conan O'Brien's audience now.
The deposed Tonight Show host is the latest celeb to take to Twitter, posting his inaugural tweet Wednesday afternoon.
"Today I interviewed a squirrel in my backyard and then threw to commercial. Somebody help me," wrote the veteran funnyman, who perhaps wanted an incubator in which to keep his jokes warm while he finalizes plans for a national tour.
So far, so good. His online bio states: "I had a show. Then I had a different show. Now I have a Twitter account."
And 178,903 followers at press time, six hours after that first post.
"If this is really @conanobrien on twitter, then my life is complete!!! Coco! Coco! Coco!" wrote a very excited Christina Applegate.
And Tia Carrere about summed it up: "That Conan O'Brien is such a clever fellow. I think I'll follow him just to see what kind of shenanigans he's up to."
INSPIRATIONAL
After the difficult but inspiring profile written about him in the latest issue of Esquire, revered film critic Roger Ebert will be sitting down for his first televised interview since he lost his ability to speak.
With the aid of a text-to-speech computer program and his own make-shift sign language, Roger will sit down with Oprah Winfrey next week for what is sure to be an amazing interview.
We'll definitely be tuning in for that!
YES YES YES We think this needs to happen!!
Rihanna was recently asked if she would ever do a collaboration with our beloved GaGaLoo, and we are very pleased with what she had to say!
"A collaboration between GaGa and myself would be really cool because we do a similar type of music and we both really love fashion, so I’m sure it’ll be a hot video. I would love to collaborate with her."
Agreed!!
Rihanna also said she would like to do a duet with cutie pie Taylor Swift.
TEAM LETTERMAN
While the Conan O'Brien and Jay Leno war of words may be over, David Letterman is still taking full advantage of his cross network rival.
On Monday, Jay returns to his time slot on NBC with guests like Olympic athletes and Sarah Palin.
YAWN!
Over on CBS Dave, who has opted out of taking the first week of March off since Jay is coming back to his usual spot, has someone better. And that someone is Leno's BFF and NBC's love child Jerry Seinfeld.
Sure, Jerry has a show to promote, but he has a long history with Leno. Not to mention he was the first guest when he occupied the 10:00pm time slot.
Should make for some inneresting TV.
Who will U be watching???
