NOT A HAPPY ENDING

Thursday, September 02, 2010

Scary day at Discovery Channel headquarters in Maryland today, where an armed man held hostages before being shot dead by police. Suspect James Lee, who was killed by police, had a history of run-ins and rants against the cable giant.

MEDIA GIANTS

Vanity Fair has once again crowned a new king of media (and 99 runners-up). This year, the title goes to Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook, which recently hit 500 million users.

Here's the rest of the top five:

2. Steve Jobs – CEO, Apple
3. Sergey Brin, Larry Page, and Eric Schmidt — Google
4. Rupert Murdoch — CEO, News Corporation
5. Jeff Bezos — CEO, Amazon

Check out the rest here!

HE'S SUING MAD!

Someone's been punk'd here, and it's not Ashton Kutcher.

The Hollywood hunk went on a Twitter offensive today, ripping Star magazine over allegations he cheated on wife Demi Moore.

"I think Star magazine calling me a 'cheater' qualifies as defamation of character. I hope my lawyer agrees," tweeted Kutcher.

Who said no to DWTS?

Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook, was approached by the show, but he passed. They should have checked his profile first to see if DWTS was in his "Favorite TV Shows" section on his Facebook page.

Sylvester Stallone was also approached about doing the show. He declined the offer, but we wouldn’t be surprised if the offer spurred an idea in his head for his own show. Dancing With The Former Action Stars? Who wouldn’t want to see Dolph Lundgren let loose on stage?

DWTS was also rejected by Ann Coulter, Condoleeza Rice,  the real Erin Brockovich, Richard Branson, Suzanne Somers, Kirstie Alley, and Joel McHale.

We’re not really sure why Tim Allen and Drew Carey declined the offer though. Tim Allen’s got nothing better to do, other than hang around and pray that they decide to make Toy Story 4. As for Drew Carey, he’s in the best shape of his life! He should totally do the show!

EXCELLENT

Oh man, if this were to actually happen, we just wouldn't know what to do!

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure star Alex Winter revealed that he, co-star Keanu Reeves, and writer Ed Solomon are "kicking ideas around" for a third installment to the HIGHlarious series!

Apparently, however, they'll only move forward if they're all in agreement on the story, and thus far, everything they've come up with has been too dark!

What do U think?? Would U see another adventure with Bill and Ted??

GLEE IS COMING

The season premiere of Glee is almost upon us and today, we managed to find a sneak peek of the action with these promo shots from the premiere episode!

Quinn's back in uniform! Sue and Will look in fighting form! Finchel…with bangs!!!!

Looks pretty good to us!

HE'S BACK-HA HA HA

Back in 1981, The Pee-wee Herman Show was just a bit act at the Groundlings Theater. Thirty years later, it's headed to Broadway and the cast that made the magic all happen the first time is poised to return.

Paul Reubens will be joined by three of the other original thespians who brought Pee-Wee to life. John Moody, John Paragon and Lyne Marie Stewart will join forces with the rest of the cast that performed the new show in L.A. earlier this year as they head to the Great White Way.

GREATEST BABIES IN THE WORLD ARE FINE

Reports had sprung up late last night claiming that Celine Dion was rushed to a hospital and forced to undergo a risky, emergency. The rumor was that she had a "pregnancy-jeopardizing health scare" and doctors were working to save the lives of Celine's unborn twins.

Well, that just ain't so! Thankfully, Celine's rep announced to legitimate sources that the story was "fabricated" and "100 percent not true." He added that Celine is perfectly "happy" and "healthy" along with the twins.

BACK TO HIS ROOTS

Jamie Foxx must REALLY want to do some sketch comedy.

Foxx had a sketch comedy pilot in development with Fox, but they didn’t end up picking the show. Looks like they’ve changed their mind again, mid-season, and Jamie Foxx is still interested.

The tentatively titled sketch comedy show, The Jamie Foxx Project, is reportedly a different show from the pilot that was almost picked up by Fox initially. The network has ordered 12 episodes.

The show will be in the vein of In Living Color, and it will spoof pop culture in its many different forms.

Sketch comedy is always fun, but as we’ve mentioned before, we’d love to see a truly fresh, original, and unique TV show to be released. This does not appear to be that show.

Will U watch Jamie Foxx’s new sketch comedy show?

AND YOU THOUGHT YOU HAD A BIG MORTGAGE

Only days after his divorce from Elin, Tiger Woods took out a $54.5 million mortgage for the mansion he's building on Florida's exclusive Jupiter Island.

The property will extend through three parcels of land and the house will be equipped with a tennis court, oxygen therapy room, multiple pools and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

Tiger is expected to pay the loan back by January 15, 2016.
