The hosts have been announced for the upcoming Genie Awards. CBC Television and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television announced yesterday that comedian Andrea Martin and late night talk show host George Stroumboulopoulos will honour the best in Canadian film and television on Thursday, March 8th in Toronto.
Adele has confirmed that she will be performing at the upcoming Grammy Awards! It will mark her first performance since undergoing vocal-cord surgery last fall. In a statement, the British singer said, "It's an absolute honor to be included in such a night and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all."Adele is up for Record and Song of the Year for "Rolling in the Deep," Album of the Year for 21, and Best Pop Solo Performance for "Someone Like You," among other nods. The Grammys air live February 12th.
After the X-Factor cleaned house by getting rid of its host and two judges (Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul), there are rumours that Mariah Carey could sign on to the show.
David Hasselhoff is engaged... again!The Baywatch star popped the question to girlfriend Hayley Roberts on Monday, while they were atop the Sydney Harbour Bridge, apparently about to bungee jump! The Hoff posted a photo of himself on bended knee in front of Roberts on Twitter. The couple reportedly met a year ago after Roberts approached the actor for an autograph at an audition for Britain's Got Talent in Wales. This is the third marriage for Hasselhoff.
AskMen.com has released its list of the 99 Most Desirable Women of 2012. Modern Family star Sofia Vergara is no surprise, landing the number one spot. Coming in at number two is Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton, followed by "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo's" Rooney Mara in third place and Victoria's Secret model Miranda Kerr at number four. Also making the list: Scarlett Johansson (7), Kim Kardashian (8), Kate Middleton (11) and Megan Fox, who was down near the bottom of the list at No. 96. Surprisingly absent from the poll? The surviving members of Monty Python are reportedly reuniting for a new movie this spring. According to Variety, Python Terry Jones, who helped develop the script and also will direct the film. However, he said, "It's not a Monty Python picture, but it certainly has that sensibility.” Reports say the Pythons will play mischievous aliens, who grant an earthling the power to do anything he wants and of course, Robin Williams will provide the voice of a talking dog. Pardon??? Does he have HUGE fangs???
TMZ is reporting that contestants on the recent “Hee Haw” donkey semen episode of Fear Factor are being reminded of their confidentiality agreements by NBC. It says the honchos over at "Fear Factor" are threatening contestants with possible lawsuits if they dare speak out about the donkey semen contest that NBC refused to air on Monday night.

In case anyone is actually keeping track, Sinead O’Connor’s latest marriage is back on. The Irish singer is back on Twitter with her crazy comments about how her husband Barry Herridge has moved back home….again. The couple got married in Las Vegas in December, after a brief courtship, but I’ve already lost track of how many times they’ve broken up. Apparently Sinead’s new medication isn’t working.
Elton John has taken another swipe at his pop rival Madonna about her upcoming performance at the Super Bowl. During a TV interview on Good Morning America on Monday, The Rocket Man was asked if he has any advice for Madonna, and he added, "Make sure you lip-sync good. Of course you have to play live but I don't think you can." Ouch!
The Bachelor spoiler alert!!!! This week’s episode not only hinted that model Cortney may soon get what’s coming to her, but also contestant, Casey leaving the show for some reason. The teaser made it appear like there was a death in her family, but online reports say she actually has a boyfriend back home. They say his name is Michael Patak, President and CEO of a company called TopStepTrader in Chicago, and Casey either still works for him, or worked for him at some point. The next episode of “The Bachelor” will air on Monday.
Justin Bieber is confirmed as a first-time HOST and return musical guest on ”Saturday Night Live” — at least that’s according to Alec Baldwin. No word on when the episode will air.
Ladies, if you need a reason to watch the Super Bowl on Sunday....how about David Beckham in underwear? H&M will premiere its first commercial for the David Beckham Bodywear collection during the second quarter of the big game. The black-and-white spot features Beckham only wearing a pair of white briefs, as the camera pans over almost every inch of the soccer stud's body. Enough said.
