Wine lovers are getting a taste of a galaxy far, far away. The world’s first meteorite infused wine has been created by a British winemaker and astronomer. It was aged with a 4.5 billion-year-old meteorite from the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter that crashed in the desert about 6-thousand years ago. After the grapes were picked, the fruit fermented for 25 days before undergoing a year-long fermentation process that allowed the meteorite to marinate in the wine and then later blended with another Cabernet Sauvignon. There are plans to export the one-of-a kind blend in the future.
